The boys race turned on the fact that the Bears swept the top three positions, led by Lucas Rogers, who won in 18:28. Isaac Czarnecki was a close second, in 18:30, and Kenny Galbraith (18:33) was just as close in third place. Jacob Teeter, in sixth place (19:06), and Ben Seale, in seventh place (19:22), clinched team honors.

During Saturday’s Baldwinsville meet, Chittenango was 14th among 31 small schools with 373 points, led again by Czarnecki, who needed a time of 17:27.7 to finish 33rd among individuals. Cazenovia was 23rd among teams, with Satchwell (18:30.8) and Kevin Ridings (18:37.9) setting the pace.
