Troop 80 sell Maine delicacy at Mercer Park

Boy Scouts from Troop 80 work together efficiently to wrap steamed lobsters as quickly as they can for people waiting in line. The boys had more than 1,000 crustaceans ready to hit the steamers set up Sept. 15 at Mercer Park.

Boy Scouts from Troop 80 work together efficiently to wrap steamed lobsters as quickly as they can for people waiting in line. The boys had more than 1,000 crustaceans ready to hit the steamers set up Sept. 15 at Mercer Park.

— Boy Scout Troop 80’s 16th Annual Lobster sale was held Saturday, Sept. 15, in Mercer Park. The lobsters were picked up fresh from Maine and brought back to Baldwinsville in time for the sale to start.

According to Scoutmaster Brian Brundige, the Boy Scouts purchased 1,200 lobsters for this year’s sale, which was down from previous years.
