The New York School Public Relations Association has recognized the Marcellus and Jordan-Elbridge school districts for outstanding achievement in educational communications.
In NYSPRA’s 33nd Annual Communications Awards competition, which drew more than 300 entries from around the state, Marcellus received an Award of Excellence in the “Excellence in Writing” category for its report on a new cafeteria composting program in the district’s schools. Ten districts were recognized in this category.
JE was recognized for its Eagle Eye newsletter, which received an Award of Merit in the “community newsletter” category. Twenty-six districts were recognized in this category.
Awards will be presented Oct. 26 at the 2012 NYSPRA Awards Luncheon in Rochester, during the annual convention of the New York State School Boards Association. About NYSPRA
