Manlius Mayor: 200 years draws near

Now more than ever is the time to pledge ourselves to make an even greater effort to enhance Manlius as we approach our Bicentennial. The key to a prosperous village is to have faith in it, and that’s why for me, Manlius stands for time-honored tradition brightened by tomorrow’s promise and possibilities... The first phase of the Swan Pond renovation will be getting underway this month. Our Fire Facilities Committee is continuing to work on a central single station solution. Founders Park will be dedicated Sept. 22.

Our fish hatchery has been expanded with great new walking trails to include Perry Springs. These exciting projects are all part of the fulfillment of our greatest village potential.

That is how we have succeeded since 1813. And that is how we will prepare the village of Manlius for future generations to come... One community... One village... One people... All of us vested in one another.

And at 200 we have only just begun. After all, our next 100 years is counting on us!

Mark-Paul Serafin, Mayor of Manlius
