Cazenovia Stone Quarry Hill Art Park recently announced the addition of Michael Paul Johnson to its board of directors.
In memorial, the Stone Quarry Hill Art Park Board of Directors noted with sadness the passing of Board Director Dewey Mosby on Aug. 1.
Johnson, who is vice president of Johnson Brothers Lumber Company in Cazenovia, is responsible for all daily operational functions in his position within the company.
Johnson is a 2001 graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and also a Letterman from the Penn State football program.
In 2011, he was inducted into the Cazenovia Sports Hall of Fame. Johnson is an active member of his community belonging to several clubs and organizations, is a member of the Central New York Regional Economic Development Council and is a passionate supporter of the economic development and growth of Central New York.
He presently resides in Cazenovia with his wife and three young boys.
As director emeritus of Colgate’s Picker Gallery; Mosby was a specialist in 19th and 20th century French art; author of numerous books and articles; and a former curator of the Detroit Institute of Art. Mosby brought a broad range of insight and expertise to the Art Park.
The SQHAP Board of Directors said Mosby will be sorely missed, and they extend their sympathies to his wife, Rebekah, and family.
