In addition to the race, youth are invited to decorate their bikes, starting at 9 a.m. at the Manlius Historical Society on Pleasant Street, then participate in the Children’s Bike Parade at 10:30 a.m. Between 11 a.m. and noon, the Manlius Methodist Church will host a chicken barbecue and open its doors for tours and an exhibit about the Cheney church windows. The 1909 church organ will be played throughout the day.
Guests may also meet the MHS blacksmith, take a tour of the historic Cheney House and play old-fashioned games while listening to music by present-day fiddle players.
