LETTERS: Commemorate Constitution Week

— By proclamation of the President, the week of Sept. 17 to 23 is being observed as Constitution Week.

The National Society and Betsy Baldwin Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, reminds you that the freedoms of religion, press, speech and the rights to petition and assembly, which we enjoy as citizens, are guaranteed to us by the Constitution. We must maintain constant vigilance to protect these freedoms, for once they are lost to us, they can never be returned.

Our Constitution is the oldest Constitution still in active use in the world.

Jean Disinger is a resident of Greater Baldwinsville.
