J-E Marching Eagles present ‘Sounds of Autumn’ Saturday

— The J-E Marching Eagles will be back where they belong Saturday, Sept. 8 – on their home field inside Jordan-Elbridge High School’s newly renovated athletic complex, for the annual Sounds of Autumn show. The school is located at 5721 Hamilton Road in Jordan.

Presented by the Jordan-Elbridge Band Boosters, the Sounds of Autumn begins at 7 p.m. with the doors opening at 5 p.m. and includes the sights and sounds of not only the J-E Marching Eagles, but also marching bands from Phoenix, Baldwinsville, Vestal and Westmoreland high schools.

Under the leadership of band director Katie Daniels and assistant band director Chris Ganey, who are both alumni of J-E’s band program, the 51-member Marching Eagles will present a show title, “David and Goliath.”

The musicians, in grades six through 12 and ranging in age from 11 to 18, will be bidding farewell to 15 seniors this year. What better way to send them off than with an outpouring of support from the J-E community?

Marching Eagle merchandise will be available for purchase at the event. For more information about the Sounds of Autumn or to buy discounted presale tickets for $5, call Marching Eagles alumni Mary Jo Wick at 427-9381 or Vickie Jewett at 689-6151. Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $6.
