First responders from the Cazenovia Fire Department, Police Department and CAVAC surround a color guard of local veterans at a previous Sept. 11 ceremony. This year’s 9/11 observance will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 11 at Memorial Park in Cazenovia.
Cazenovia At 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 11 in Cazenovia’s Memorial Park, a candlelight vigil will be held to remember the victims of the 2001 terrorist attacks.
Representation from local emergency response and veterans groups such as the local fire department, police department and Cazenovia Area Volunteer Ambulance Corps will be present.
Reverend Robin Blair of the United Methodist Church will offer an invocation for the ceremony which will include a slideshow of images, music led by the high school Chamber Choir, silent reflection and more.
All are welcome to attend this event in remembrance of the 11th anniversary of the tragedy.
The vigil is coordinated annually by Project CAFE, a local non-profit, student-run organization that aims to unite and better the community through community service events such as this.
