SU comeback thwarted by Northwestern

Down 22, Orange take lead, only to give it up in final minute

— The Orange sustained the momentum and the crowd became more animated. SU's rarely-used running game was on display as Price Tyson-Gulley scampered for a 21-yard run.

That drive was culminated when Kobena scored on a 7-yard TD pass with 6:42 left. Though the two-point conversion was unsuccessful, SU only trailed 35-33, and it was far from over.

After yet another three-and-out caused by SU's defense, Nassib maintained his brilliant passing attack firing a strike to Kobena, who made an over the shoulder 16-yard TD reception that gave SU a 41-35 advantage after Gulley ran in for two points.

But in the end it was the underdog Wildcats that made the final push, leaving SU at 0-1 going into its high-profile meeting with Southern California on Saturday at Met Life Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
