The Fall Art Series at the Cazenovia College Art Gallery in Reisman Hall begins with “Matter: A group exhibition of two- and three-dimensional abstract works,” which opens Thursday, Sept. 6 and runs through Friday, Oct. 5. An artist’s reception and lecture will be held from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the gallery on Sept. 6.
The Cazenovia College Art Gallery in Reisman Hall, located at 6 Sullivan St., is on the corner of Sullivan and Seminary streets in Cazenovia. Shows and receptions are free and open to the public.
Artists included in the exhibition are Diane Banks, Tadashi Hashimoto, Doreen McCarthy, Lucy Mink, Rebecca Murtaugh, Christopher McEvoy and Laurel Shute.
Beginning in October, internationally known exhibiting sculptor Rob Licht will be in the Sculpture Court for 10 days working with students on a site-specific work, which will be on display until October 2013.
The gallery is handicapped accessible. Hours during the academic year are 1 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, and from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
