B’ville woman represents Zonta Club at global conference

— The members of the Zonta Club of Syracuse have elected new officers and directors, and look forward to working with them in the fall to fulfill the club mission of advancing the status of girls and women locally and worldwide.

The new officers are: (president) Theresa Harris, of Cicero; (vice president) Karen Cross, of Camillus; (secretary) Anne Tindall, of Manlius; and (treasurer) Mary Earl, of Liverpool. Elected to the board of directors are: Amy Akin, Kathie Easom, Judith Grantham, Fran Haberlen and Marie Mariani.

Two thousand Zontians from around the globe met at a biennial convention in Torino, Italy, in July to learn more about what Zonta has been doing worldwide, and to plan service projects for the next two years. Candace Edwards, of Baldwinsville, represented the Zonta Club of Syracuse at the Italy convention.
