LETTERS: Mayor Olson gives nod to Tom Miller for County Judge

To the editor:

I have the honor and privilege of working with Judge Tom Miller in the village of Fayetteville. I have a first-hand appreciation for Judge Miller’s work ethic and passion for the bench. Dedicated to the law, his commitment to justice in our great village has tirelessly served our residents over the past decade. There is no better person to serve as our next county court judge than Judge Tom Miller.

My job as mayor is made easier knowing that Judge Miller is on the bench. Judge Miller is widely respected by attorneys and law enforcement officials who deal with him every day. During Judge Miller’s tenure the Fayetteville court has become one of the best-run courts in the village court system. A great example of Judge Miller’s style of justice is how all community service projects are now done in the village. Prior to Judge Miller that was not the case. The judge feels that if the crime is done in our community then the service should be done in our community. He has increased the safety of the court room, he has increased technologies to provide better service, he has reached out to the community through newsletters and attending village board meetings. The judge is very involved as a village resident where he and his children and wife are a part of FM Baseball, school projects and the Fayetteville Fire Department to name but a few.

I ask for your support to elect Judge Tom Miller as our next County Court Judge. Appropriate and timely justice for all has been the hallmark of Judge Miller’s tenure in Fayetteville and I know he will bring that commitment to excellence with him to the County Court bench.

Mark Olson, Fayetteville Village Mayor
