LETTERS: DeWitt Town Supervisor endorses Gordon Cuffy for County Judge

To the editor:

Gordon Cuffy has the right background, professional experience and personal temperament to serve as Onondaga County Court Judge.

Gordon is the son of immigrants from the British colony of Grenada. He was raised in a Brooklyn neighborhood where he saw crime’s devastating effect on families, including his own. He earned his undergraduate degree at Syracuse University and then worked days to put himself through Brooklyn Law School at night. Gordon returned to Syracuse with his wife, Dr. Nadine Cuffy, to start a family and begin his 22-year career.

He has served as an Onondaga County prosecutor under District Attorney William Fitzpatrick and as an Assistant Attorney General under Governor Andrew Cuomo. Gordon currently serves as attorney under County Executive Joanie Mahoney. For 15 years, he has also been an adjunct professor at the Syracuse University College of Law. Gordon is honest, hard working and committed to the betterment of our community. His knowledge, life experiences and personal qualities will make him highly qualified to serve as judge. Please vote for Gordon Cuffy on Tuesday, Nov. 6.
