— For more than 40 years, the youth of Baldwinsville have enjoyed a great local tradition of painting area business windows (with the owners' consents) near the Halloween holiday. On Saturday, Oct. 20, that tradition continued thanks the Baldwinsville Optimist Club, which sponsors the event with help from the B'ville Chamber of Commerce. Baldwinsville students from fourth through seventh grades 4 to 7 were eligible to participate in this event, and older and younger siblings of participants were also on hand to help the students. The Optimists supplied the paint while the student artists painted their spooky masterpieces on what turned out to be a beautiful fall day for creating ghosts, jack-o-lanterns, witches, spider webs and goblins.
