Baldwinsville The Lysander Town Hall will be open from 9 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, for some Halloween “trick or treating.” Stop by to pick up some candy at the different town departments; costumes are optional. There will also be guessing contests with prizes for the winners and free pumpkins for all the kids donated by Reeves Farm; limit one per child while they last.
Fall craft projects for kids
Interested in making crafts for the holidays? Join Ms. Lynn (from Camp Crayola) for a holiday craft project: turning a pumpkin into a Jack-o-latern for Halloween. This craft activity will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at Lysander Town Hall in the Large Group Room for 3- to 6-year-old children.
Held from 7 to 9 p.m. Mondays (through March 4) at Durgee Jr. High gym, this open program is for adults (21 and older) residing in Lysander and Van Buren only; no children allowed. Teams will be formed from those present; first-time participants must fill out a registration card and show proof of residency (license) then sign in. $2 each evening.
Enjoy walking or looking to get out of the fall weather conditions? Join others from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday nights (through March 4) for a brisk walk through Durgee Jr. High School hallways. This is a good way to walk safely indoors and keep fit through the fall and winter months. Free; participants under 16 must have an adult with them; everyone needs to sign in.
