— Two Baldwinsville Family and Consumer Sciences teachers were honored at the New York State Association of Family and Consumer Sciences Educators conference held Oct. 12 and 13 in Albany.

Margaret Jock, a FACS teacher at Ray Middle School, has been named the 2012 NYSAFCSE Teacher of the Year. The association honored her at its banquet on Oct. 12.

Also honored at the banquet was Christina Rode, a FACS teacher at Baker High School. In 2011 the Central New York Association of Family and Consumer Sciences Educators named her its 2010-11 Promising New Professional. Since the NYSAFCSE only has a conference every two years, the state association recognized her for her regional award at its Oct. 12 banquet.
