C-NS girls soccer robbed by B’ville

Northstars still get no. 3 seed for Class AA playoffs

So it was up to Hingre. With 9:45 left, Haven had one more great shot, and again Hingre smothered it. When it all was done, Hingre had recorded 19 saves, almost delivering the win by herself.

Thus, C-NS didn’t feel that discouraged, and made a quick recovery Friday night, when it went to Rome Free Academy and ripped the Black Knights 7-0.

Liberati led the charge, earning a three-goal hat trick, while Haven, Marissa Rio, Ariah Rosas and Lauren Cussen each scored once.

As it turned out, C-NS was just getting started with RFA. With the no. 3 seed in the Section III Class AA playoffs, the Northstars will meet the no. 6 seed Black Knights in Thursday night’s AA quarterfinal at Archie Hall Stadium at 6:30. The winner will play Liverpool or West Genesee in the semifinal round.
