Financial Planning Week

Improve and protect your financial health with these workshops held Oct. 1 to 7 on information you need to know. The workshops are free, but registration is required; sign up on our online calendar or call the library at 635-5631 to register.

First up is your credit score: held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, discover what affects your credit score and how it’s used by banks, landlords and employers to decide your future.

Now that you know how important your credit score is, learn to protect it with a workshop on Avoiding Scams and Identity Theft, held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4.

Tech help drop-in

Get a little help with your technological learning curve. Every Friday from 10 a.m. to noon, librarians will help you with your laptop, mobile device, ereader or tablet. No registration needed.

Meet the author

Add a little romance to your life – come on down and meet Diane Culver, local romance writer, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7. Baldwinsville resident Laurie Bumpus will be on hand to talk about the joys and perils of publishing. Her two published books will be available for sale at this author talk and book-signing with a portion of the sales helping support the Friends of the Library.

Second Mondays Club

The fun and games continue from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, as kids from third through sixth grade are invited to join our library centered kids group with free pizza, fun and activities. The group meets on the second Monday of each month.
