Solvay Public Library welcomes new trustees, to host open house

— Solvay Village Mayor Kathleen Marinelli recently appointed two new trustees to the Solvay Public Library Board: Carole Marascalchi and Ty Pitoniak Marshal.  

Marascalchi, a resident of Westvale, is a speech pathologist and literacy instructor.  She served as President of the Tyrol Club Auxiliary.

Marshal, a native and resident of Solvay, is the Artist in Residence and Curator at the Syracuse Technology Garden. He recently formed the Solvay Citizen’s Action Group which promotes improvements to the village. They will join the board of seven in overseeing library funding, policies and planning.

The Solvay Public Library Board of Trustees invites area residents to their Holiday Open House at the library from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2.  Music and refreshments will be provided. The event is free and open to the public.
