— Frosh Chris Niebuhr placed 54th in 19:48.3 to conclude a strong inaugural season that began to wear on him over the final weeks.

“Chris is another one we’re counting on next season,” said Reed. “And like Cooper, Chris has to make some adult decisions about what to seriously pursue next school year. I don’t envy him. It’s going to be hard to choose from among his love of music, his community engagements and athletics.”

Continuing to improve was junior Patrick Biver who took 57th in 19:56 flat, while senior Ethan Johanns concluded his cross country career with a 71st place finish in 20:23.7. Rounding out the scoring was junior Nick Smolenski who took 81st in 20:40.1.
