To the editor:
OASIS would like to publicly thank the DeWitt Community Library for conducting a Senior Fair on Friday, Oct. 26. The number of support organizations for seniors that exhibited at the fair is testimony to what makes Central New York a great place to live.
OASIS is a national not-for-profit educational organization whose mission is to enhance the lives of mature adults 50 and older by offering classes in the arts, humanities, history, technology and health. A major sponsor of the Syracuse Chapter of OASIS is Upstate Medical University. There is no cost to be a member, and modest fees for taking classes.
More than 9,500 Central New Yorkers belong to OASIS because they want to continue to learn, to grow, and to be connected with other like minded people.
This Senior Fair exposed Central New Yorkers to the benefits of belonging to OASIS, which is located at 6333 State Route 298, next to the Double Tree Hotel off Carrier Circle. For information call 464-6555 or visit oasisnet.org/syracuse. OASIS sends a big thank you to the staff of the Dewitt Community Library for conducting the Senior Fair.
