Baldwinsville Girls Crew Booster Club Sponsors Electronics Collection Fundraiser

The Baldwinsville Girls Crew Booster Club will host a “Recycling for Rowers” electronics collections fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Kimbrook Plaza parking lot at the corner of routes 31 and 57. All proceeds will be used to support the Baldwinsville High School Girls Crew team. Past fundraisers supported the 2011 purchase of two new boats.

— The Baldwinsville Girls Crew Booster Club will host a “Recycling for Rowers” electronics collections event from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, in Kimbrook Plaza parking lot (behind Tim Horton’s) at the corner of routes 31 and 57.

The collection event will accept a full range of electronics including televisions, computers, laptops, keyboards, monitors, printers, scanners, copiers, fax machines, typewriters, cell phones, VCRs, stereos, CD and DVD players, telephones, microwave ovens and other small appliances. Not accepted will be dehumidifiers, refrigerators, air conditioners and other appliances with Freon.

A donation of $10 per item or $25 per car load is suggested. All proceeds will be used to support the Baldwinsville High School Girls Crew team. All electronics will be properly disposed of or recycled by Bruin Electronics of Liverpool.

Baldwinsville rowers were 2011 champions of several Central New York categories, finalists at the New York State Championships and qualifiers for the National Scholastic Rowing Association Regatta. Learn more about Girls Crew at Baldwinsville at bvillecrew.org.
