FTGU to offer volunteer training

From the Ground Up Therapeutic Horsemanship, Inc. non-profit, inclusive organization that offers horse-related activities (equine assisted activities) and riding instruction to individuals of all abilities, those who are at-risk, as well as veterans and seniors.

FTGU will hold a Volunteer Training Day from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 3, at its location on Mystic Mountain Farm, 2130 Webber Road in New Woodstock.

This training is being held for new and existing volunteers. All trainees should wear shoes with hard soles and toes (no sneakers) and dress in layers.

From the Ground Up is the only Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International Premier Accredited Center in Central New York.

This training will also provide the introductory training for anyone interested in volunteering with FTGU’s Mobile Program that will serve the Greater Syracuse area.
