LETTERS: Eldridges endorse Joseph for village board

To the editor:

I am writing this letter in support of the candidacy of Jim Joseph for the Cazenovia Village Board.

Jim has been a lifelong resident of Central New York, a Cazenovia village resident for the past 12 years and comes well prepared for this position. He loves Cazenovia and together with his wife, Renee, have raised their four children here. Jim wants the best for our village, now and in the future.

Problem solving is one of the greatest positive features that Jim retains. Over the past six years as CEO he returned Oneida Ltd. from bankruptcy to a productive, viable American company.

Through his leadership the company was saved from insolvency to be the No. 1 tabletop brand in North America. He understands the importance and value of the various aspects of economic development through smart growth, sustainability, preservation and fiscal soundness. Jim has vast experience in finance with a CPA background and infinite business experience.

He presently serves on or has served on many boards including the Food bank of CNY, The Everson Museum and St. James Church Finance Committee, to name just a few.

He strongly desires to maintain the historic character of our beautiful village coupled with intelligent growth. His innovative thinking and ability to problem solve along with fresh ideas and approaches to ongoing village problems make Jim an exceptional choice for the Cazenovia Village Board.

David and Karen Eldridge
