Police Blotter: Three charged with DWI

— At 10:20 p.m. April 29, a vehicle was observed speeding on East Genesee Street. The vehicle was stopped and the driver identified as Holly V. Zegarelli, 26, of 615 Village Blvd. South, Baldwinsville. After further investigation Zegarelli was subsequently arrested and charged with DWI and speed in zone. She was processed, released and scheduled to appear in court June 6.

At 2:26 p.m. May 5, a vehicle was observed making a turn onto Virginia Street and failed to keep right by crossing into the oncoming lane of travel. The vehicle was stopped and the driver ran off on foot before being apprehended by the officer. He was identified as David J. Wilkins, 38, of 256 West 2nd Street, Fulton, and was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was arrested and charged with DWI and failure to keep right. He was processed, released and scheduled to appear in court May 23.

At 8:52 p.m. May 2, a vehicle was observed traveling on East Genesee Street with no headlights illuminated. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was identified as Jessica M. Grant, 26, of 2 Walnut St., Baldwinsville. A check of her driver’s license showed that it was suspended for a previous DWI charge and that she was operating out of the restrictions for her hardship license. She was also found to be under the influence of alcohol and was arrested and charged with DWI, first degree aggravated unlicensed operation and no headlights. She was processed, released and scheduled to appear in court June 6.

Driving with suspended license charges

At 11:40 p.m. May 5, the license plate reader within the patrol vehicle alerted that a vehicle was being operated with a suspended registration. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was identified as Patrick K. Ellis, 42, of 54 Sherman St., Hornell. Computer checks also showed that Ellis’ driver’s license was suspended and he was arrested and charged with third degree aggravated unlicensed operation, suspended registration and uninspected motor vehicle. He was processed, released and scheduled to appear in court June 6.
