— Baldwinsville’s Greg Massaro, second from right, hit a hole-in-one on the 143-yard (par 3) 17th hole at Foxfire Golf Course on Monday, May 14. Massaro, pictured with members of his golf team (from left) Randy Reinhardt, Bill Perkins and Leo Massaro, used a six iron playing in the Collins Monday night league. "I knew it was a good shot," Massaro said. "I saw it bounce once and then they started yelling – they said it was in the hole! My brother, Leo, had just said before I hit the shot that he'd buy me a beer if I got a hole in one. I ended buying him, and the whole league one with my skins money." Massaro’s shot was only the second hole in one in the 27-year history of the league, which consists primarily of men who went to Baker High School between 30 and 40 years ago. The first hole-in-one was achieved by Baldwinsville’s Mark Wilder.
