Caz Town Board: Whitman student survey complete

—The board resolved to refund an unused fee of $115.

—The purchase of a new 2012 John Deere loader for use by the Highway Department was authorized.

—The board authorized the purchase of a 2012 Bobcat Skid steer. The town’s used steer was auctioned online, and the town received $600 more than the price of the new one.

—Although unemployment benefits aren’t a part of the town’s budget, they are rarely invoked, and the board resolved to grant said benefits to a former employee of the town.

—The attorney’s report revealed that the board was “working on the language” of current “animal law” (zoning laws governing the keeping of animals), in response to public grievances such as were expressed at March’s meeting.
