Caz Rowing Club to help newcomers ‘Learn to Row’

— The Cazenovia Rowing Club will hold a “Learn to Row” clinic from 9 a.m. until noon on Saturday, June 2, at Gypsy Bay Park, located at the south end of Cazenovia Lake on Route 20.

Experienced members of the club will assist newcomers in learning the basics of the rowing stroke, boating and rowing terminology and safety procedures while handling a boat and on the water. Participants will spend time on the water rowing with both new and experienced rowers.

Ages 13 and up are invited to participate. A fee of $20 is required, which covers the morning’s events and refreshments is applicable to club membership. Dress in close-fitting clothing and easily removable shoes with socks.

A rain date is set for Sunday, June 3 in case of inclement weather. For additional details, visit cazrow.org.
