YMCA announces four new fitness instructors

The Skaneateles YMCA is pleased to announce the addition of four new fitness instructors.

We are happy to welcome Michael Assmann, a certified personal trainer and fitness instructor. Michael is a graduate of SUNY Cortland, where he studied exercise science. Michael will be teaching our new 'Y" Intensity class, a circuit style class with timed intervals which will be held outside, weather permitting.

Two newly certified Yoga instructors join our staff: Pat Mack, and Marcella Didio. They will be teaching Gentle Yoga (Hatha style). This class is acceptable for all fitness levels and focuses on flows that help to rejuvenate and relax the mind and body.

A great addition to our evening instructor base is Elizabeth Fortune, a former Y Instructor from Oswego, who is certified in Group Exercise. Elizabeth is teaching Cardio Fit Camp, a mid-intensity cardio class that uses a variety of equipment to help tone the body while increasing heart rate and aerobic capacity. Cardio Fit is an energizing way to laugh and sweat your way to a trimmer stronger you!

Elizabeth is also offering our members an evening Zen Stretch. This class is the perfect ending to any day, allowing participants the time to stretch, relive tension, work on relaxation and rebuild the body and the mind. Class ends with a nice cup of tea to help detoxify the body and bring comfort and "Zen" to each participant.

Class times are as follows:

"Y" Intensity — Thursday, 8:45 to 9:30 a.m.

Gentle Yoga — Friday, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and Sunday, 8 to 9 a.m.

Cardio Fit Camp — Tuesday, 6:15 to 7 p.m.

Evening Zen Stretch — Tuesday, 7 to 7:30 p.m.
