In order to complete the oil and stone project, Wiers said the department would need residents to cooperate since traffic on the road needs to be kept at a minimum. The project should only take one day to complete, he said.

Also at the meeting, the town board approved a request from Councilor Jeff Ireland, caretaker of Borodino Cemetery, to raise the cemetery lot fee from $300 to $375. The additional $75 fee covers the cost of four corner markers for the lots, which can be set by the monument company when also setting headstones.
