Friends remember avid racer Dan Cerio

— “He could go on a racetrack at 170 miles per hour, or he could go hang out in the woods,” Todd said. “That’s the kind of guy he was.”

He was the guy who went skydiving in 2009, seeking a thrill, giving a thumbs-up and making faces for the camera that day.

He was the guy who had the type of love all his friends dreamed of -- he had been dating the same woman, Lindsey Cupo, since seventh grade.

He was the guy who would call all of his friends “Peewee,” regardless of their actual name.

But most importantly, he was the guy who loved life, who taught his friends about life and how to be a good friend.

“When I was with him, I felt invincible, like nothing would happen,” said Todd. “Nothing was going wrong when you were hanging out with Dan.”

“Live your life. That’s what he did,” Putnam added.

Cerio is survived by his parents, Dan and Therese, a younger sister, Stephanie, and a younger brother, Nick.
