Five B’ville students recognized for top PSAT scores

— The National Merit Scholarship Corporation has recognized five Baker High School juniors for their outstanding scores on the 2011 PSAT. Emily Ekross, David Hutter, David Magowan, Antonio Martinez and Scott Wolff have been invited to participate in the 2013 National Merit Program’s College Plans Reporting Service.

These students are among the 50,000 highest-scoring participants nationwide. Through the reporting service, they will be referred to two colleges or universities in the United States in which they are interested. The service encourages college officials to communicate directly with the referred students to discuss their academic potential and the educational opportunities available to them.

The students are also entered in the 2013 National Merit Scholarship Program, through which 8,300 scholarships will be awarded.
