Socializing and refreshments at The Lincklaen for Ladies’Night Out will make this a festive and memorable occasion. Purses include designer labels, local artisan creations, vintage bags and purses from distinguished women. Cash and carry items will also be available. All proceeds will go to CRIS.

CRIS was formed as a result of needs identified by the Housing Feasibility Study focus groups and surveys. Its mission is to identify and address a wide range of needs for seniors living in our community

to make it possible for them to comfortably age in place.

In May 2010 the first program, CRIS-CAT (Cazenovia Area Transportation), began offering transportation to residents of Cazenovia, Nelson and Fenner aged 55 and above who are ambulatory but unable to drive.

Rides are provided by volunteers at no charge (donations appreciated). To date, more than 500 rides have been provided by more than 40 volunteers.

CRIS identifies service gaps and collaborates with existing service providers to bring needed services to Cazenovia, Nelson and Fenner.

A Senior Resource Directory has been started which can be accessed at CRIS’ website, callcris.org. This was made possible through a grant received through the CNY Community Foundation.

For the purse auction, CRIS welcomes and appreciates donations of new or gently used purses.

Look for the “pink purse” drop boxes throughout the village starting March 28 through May 5.
