— Members of Baker High School’s winning team at the Healthcare Olympiad, which took place March 10 at SUNY Upstate Medical University, are (from left) Sam Mandarino, Liz Wisely, Rachel Brown, Brianne Landwersiek, James Wafful and Michael Bernet. The students took first place in the county and second place overall in the Healthcare Olympiad, presenting on the topic of lead in drinking water. Eighteen teams from around the state competed in the Olympiad. The competition, sponsored by the Central New York Area Health Education Center, gives students the opportunity to solve real-life issues faced in the healthcare industry within their local community.
