— Jim Johnson, president of the Baldwinsville Optimists, presents student Casey Devlin with a $1,200 donation for Baker High School PTSA's Keep the Ball Rolling senior ball after-party. Johnson recently attended the PTSA’s March planning meeting for KBR. The Optimists' donation will enable the committee to fund the activities, games, food and raffles that draw hundreds of senior students to the all-night party. The Baldwinsville Optimists’ mission is to develop optimism as a philosophy of life; to promote active interest in good government and civic affairs; to inspire respect for the law; to promote patriotism and work for international accord and friendship among all people; to aid and encourage the development of youth, in the belief that the giving of one’s self in service to others will advance the well-being of people, the community and the world. If your organization would like to donate food, beverages, cash or raffle items to the KBR event, contact Wendy Burke at 695-2534 or at wendy.burke1@yahoo.com.
