Baldwinsville The Baldwinsville Lions recently held their annual raffle.
Winners were: John Mazzoli, first prize ($200); Rod Van Der Water, second prize ($50); and Richard Madden, third place ($25). Each winner also received a surprise basket.
The generosity of those who purchase raffle tickets enables the Lions to provide various services to the community including: annual Lions youth scholarship; eye-testing for amblyopia (lazy eye); a juvenile diabetes day camp; and exams and eyeglasses for needy school children.
The Baldwinsville Lions maintain a clubhouse at Lions Community Park, which is available for groups and families to rent. Over the years, many have enjoyed their events at this clubhouse in a pleasant park setting along the Seneca River. This is also the site of the Juvenile Diabetes Day Camp.
Donations are made that assist in various ways.
Lions also donate funds to help support guiding eye dogs and leader dogs, the Christmas Bureau, Meals on Wheels and the Baldwinsville Volunteer Center, as well as individual needs as they arise.
The Lions thank the community for its continued support.
