Baldwinsville This time of year, we’re usually waiting for the last of snow to melt away, but it never really arrived this year. We’re also usually enjoying the annual Taste of Baldwinsville event, which raises funds for the Baldwinsville Volunteer Center, but that hasn’t happened this March either. Don’t fret, unlike the snow, the Taste of Baldwinsville will still happen this year, just a little later.
The date for the 2012 Taste of Baldwinsville has moved to May 19 and is again hosted again by the CNY Family Sports Centre on Jones Road. Reasons for the change in date are many, but one thing for sure is that we won’t have snow to deal with this year (ok, snow in May isn’t totally out of the question here in Central New York, but chances are pretty good we’ll be snow free).
This event is the primary fundraiser for the BVC featuring food favorites from local restaurants, voted on by a judging panel and attendees. A silent auction throughout the event will offer valuable products and services donated by many local businesses.
The Taste of Baldwinsville Committee is hard at work planning this year’s event. The committee is soliciting sponsorships, auction donations, restaurant participation and volunteers for the event.
“The committee has been working hard to make some exciting changes to this year’s event and appreciates the generous support from the Baldwinsville community,” said event chairman, Andrea Gagas.
