— Karen Koegel, of Baldwinsville, retired from Home Aides of Central New York after more than 20 years of dedicated service.

“Karen was a hardworking and reliable home health aide,” said Sandra H. Martin, agency president. “Her compassionate caregiving and untiring dedication was an asset to our agency.”

Koegel began her career at Home Aides of Central New York in 1991. During her time with the agency, she provided more than 22,000 hours of client care. She worked primarily in the village of Baldwinsville.

Koegel has no immediate post-retirement plans, but is looking forward to spending more time with her family.

“I have three grandchildren,” she said. “One of my granddaughters loves horses as much as I do, and I can’t wait to ‘get back in the ring’ with her.”
