To The Editor:
As a village resident I am excited about the opportunities that are before us. I look forward to creating a new village office in the center of the community that is more accessible and accommodating. I plan to advocate for public restrooms as part of this renovation. I am looking forward to the Fennell Street renovations and hope we will be able to bury sections of the utilities to further beautify our surroundings. I believe we can improve that section of the village to make it more “walker’ friendly. This will help reduce the demand for parking spaces and clear up some of the congestion.
The recent budget cuts have been painful at times but obviously necessary. Governments at all levels must live within their means and hold the line on spending. By having a long range plan of slow steady controlled growth we can chip away at our infrastructure needs. Newer more cost efficient systems must be constantly sought, and consolidation of services vigorously pursued.
As a community we must recognize the service needs of a mature population. We must be there for our seniors as they have been there for us. I plan to explore the possibilities of increasing the quantity and quality of senior housing in the village if I am elected.
On the first day of spring we will elect two village Trustees. I plan to win this election. I say this with confidence because victory will come with the first vote that is cast for me. Every subsequent measure of support will increase the level of my achievement. You have all seen my work ethic and my passion for this wonderful community. Please elect me as your next Village Trustee.
