The Fayetteville-Manlius Board of Education has approved hiring Scott Sugar as the school district’s director of physical education and athletics, effective July 1, according to fmschools.org.
Sugar is currently the director of physical education and athletics for the Oswego City School District. F-M’s current director of physical education and athletics, Rich Roy, will retire as of July 1 after 22 years with F-M.
“I want to thank the members of the interview committee, most importantly, Dr. Kaiser and Mr. Gordon, for selecting me for this position,” Sugar said. “I am truly honored for being chosen to be the next director of physical education and athletics for the Fayetteville- Manlius School District. I look forward to meeting and working with all the students, coaches, faculty and staff, administrators, parents and community members of this great district. Go Hornets!”
Sugar, who lives in Oswego with his wife and two young children, plans to relocate his family to the F-M district.
