Close to 200 danced the night away at the village of Manlius’ second annual Daddy Daughter Dance held Feb. 10 at the Village Centre Auditorium.

Young ladies ages three and up were accompanied by their fathers, grandfathers, big brothers, uncles or a father figure of their choice to the event for village and non-village residents, which was hosted by the village’s parks and recreation department.

Guests experienced a fun-filled evening of dancing, arts and crafts and refreshments. Each girl, dressed in her party-best, went home with a keepsake photo and a rose. The event tripled its participation from a year ago.

“We were very pleased with the turnout of this year’s event,” said Village of Manlius Parks and Recreation Director Kristen Hansen. “Everyone had a great time. For many of the girls it was their first dance. We hope this is something that they will remember for the rest of their lives.”
