Members of the Syracuse Open Hand Theater will be singing and participating in the Teddy Bear Parade, which begins at 10:15 a.m. July 7 from Cannon Park on Albany Street in Cazenovia.
Cazenovia All are invited to participate in the Teddy Bear Parade on Saturday, July 7. Participants gather at Cannon Park on Albany Street in the grassy area behind the Farmer’s Market at 10 a.m.
Tables will be set up for children to decorate musical instruments and puppets. The children can also choose to sing teddy bear songs. Special guests from Syracuse’s Open Hand Theater will be participating in the singing and the parade.
For more than 18 years, community children and visitors, parents and grandparents have been parading with their beloved teddy bears, decorated wagons and tricycles.
At 10:15 a.m., the parade will start down the sidewalks of Albany Street to the Cazenovia Public Library. The library is providing juice and cookies while the children sing more songs, play their instruments and enjoy the Open Hand Theater puppets.
Afterwards, all are encouraged to walk back to Telephone Park for the announcement of the Kiss the Pig winner.
In case of rain, the festivities will take place at 10 a.m. in the Community Room of the library.
This event is sponsored by the Cazenovia Public Library and Cazenovia Children’s House/My School with special thanks to Open Hand Theater.
