Paige’s Butterfly Run breaks two records

Polsin came in first place among the female contestants with a time of 18:55. Steve Hicks, of Syracuse, came in first place among the male contestants with a time of 16 minutes flat. According to Chris Arnold, the event had more than 2,600 registrants and raised more than $200,000, both record-breaking statistics for the event. “We had a great, extremely successful event this year,” said Arnold, who is the event organizer and father to the event’s namesake, Paige Yeomans Arnold. Paige was a first grade student at Palmer Elementary School in Baldwinsville when she was diagnosed with Leukemia in 1993. She succumbed to the disease in 1994.
