B’ville Knights of Columbus honor leadership award winners

— Baldwinsville Knights of Columbus Youth Awards Chairman Bill Rosentel, left, and Grand Knight John Christopher, right, stand with Catholic Youth Leadership Award Winners (second from left to right) James Wafful, Schuyler LaBeef, Ryan Peters, Jessica Testa, Hope Murphy, Meredith Starczewski and Emily Malone (award recipient Virginia Kamide is not pictured). These eight Baker High School seniors were honored with a mass and reception on June 12 at St. Stephen’s Church in Phoenix. The award is given by the council to a girl and boy who have exemplified Catholic leadership in the community as well as portrayed academic achievement. Starczewski, Testa and Kamide are members of St. Augustine’s parish; Murphy and LaBeef are members of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton’s parish; Peters and Wafful are members of St. Mary of Assumption’s parish; and Malone is a member of St. Stephen’s parish.
