Jordan-Elbridge Athletic Hall of Fame inducts four

— In basketball he was also a three-year starter. He earned all-league honors in 1985; his teams made sectionals in ‘83, ‘84 and ‘85; and he was selected to play in the North/South Senior All Star Basketball Game.

In baseball he lettered in five years (1981-85). He was a captain and the team MVP in ‘83, ‘84 and ‘85, and a first team all-league pitcher in ‘84 and ‘85. In 1981 he pitched a no-hitter as an eighth-grader on the varsity team. In 1985 he was recognized by the Saint Francis Athletic Association and by the Post-Standard as Area Athlete of the Year for baseball.

Klock went on to play baseball at Onondaga Community College and University of South Carolina Upstate.

Brett Frood ‘93 (cross country, wrestling and lacrosse)

Frood is a 1993 graduate of J-E. He lettered in three varsity sports (cross country, wrestling and lacrosse). He was a league champion in wrestling in 1993 and had 58 career wins as a wrestler. He was captain of the wrestling team in 1993.

He was a four-year letter winner for lacrosse (1990-93) and earned first team all-league honors in ‘92 and ‘93; he was the team’s leading scorer both years. He played in the Exceptional Senior All-Star Game and earned Academic All-American honors for lacrosse in 1993. He was also given the J-E Scholar Athlete award; the J-E Outstanding Athlete award; and the Section III Scholarship award his senior year.

Frood graduated as Salutatorian of the J-E Class of ‘93. He went on to play lacrosse for Brown University is now the executive vice president of Stewart-Haas Racing.
