Caz Lions Club ‘Ride for Sight’ rescheduled

Motorcycle tour, benefit ride to be held June 23

— Due to rain cancelling the “Ride for Sight” on June 9, all local bikers still have a chance to support the local Lions Club in the seventh-annual fund raiser on June 23.

Registration will take place from noon to 1 p.m. in GHD’s (formerly Stearns & Wheler) front parking lot on Route 20 East in Cazenovia.

The ride is about 120 miles long, taking back (but smooth) roads from Cazenovia to Whitney Point and concluding at The Fort in Morrisville. At Whitney Point, all participants are treated to pizza and beverages at Aiello’s Restaurant.

According to veteran rider Hal DeFrees, “the best part of the ride is anchovies on one of the pizzas.”

The cost of participation is free; however, donations will be gratefully accepted.
