Caz Presbyterian Church to celebrate Baccalaureate Sunday

— The First Presbyterian Church in Cazenovia will celebrate Baccalaureate Sunday during its morning worship service at 10 a.m. on June 17. The public is invited.

The Rev. Dr. Steven R. Thomas will deliver a special message to the high school students looking to graduate the following Saturday.

The Senior Choir, under the direction of Catharine Wheat, will sing “I Then Shall Live” and the traditional “A Choral Benediction.”

Nathan Kaercher, instrumental music teacher in the Chittenango Central School District, will accompany the choir and congregational hymns on his trumpet.

Members of the church who are part of the graduating Class of 2012 are Ryan Gara, Christian Garber, attending school in High Point; Matt Henderson, attending Cornell; Brian Johnson, attending University of Buffalo; David McEntee, attending SUNY Albany; Rae Tobey, attending Syracuse University; and Holland Townsend, attending Onondaga Community College.

Those looking for an open and friendly place to celebrate Sunday morning worship, are invited to attend the Cazenovia Presbyterian Church. Child Care and Sunday School are available during the service.
