Baldwinsville Community Band announces summer schedule

— The Baldwinsville Community Band, founded in 1979 by conductor Phill Sterling, is proud to announce its schedule for summer concerts in 2012.

The band, now including more than 60 members, will offer free concerts weekly to residents in and around Baldwinsville. All concerts are free and open to the public, but the band will gladly accept donations, which will be used to purchase new music. The weekly concerts may include marches, show tunes, patriotic songs, big band favorites, a few light classical pieces that are well known, as well as inspirational tunes.

The Baldwinsville Optimist Club partners with the Community Band for five concerts this summer, which are held at local senior or assisted living facilities. They make and distribute free ice cream sundaes to all in attendance.

Members of the Baldwinsville Community Band cordially invite you to come hear a fantastic, local band that has been in our town for more than 32 years. If you've never been to one of their concerts, come hear what you've been missing.
