B’ville student awarded national merit scholarship

Jacob Minardi

Jacob Minardi, a senior at Baker High School, has been awarded a National Merit University of Rochester Scholarship. He is a part of the distinguished group of about 8,300 high school seniors who will receive National Merit Scholarships. He plans to attend the University of Rochester in a science related major and is interested in conducting biological research.

Graduates announced

Rhiannon Adler, of Baldwinsville, received a bachelor degree in animal sciences from the University of Vermont on May 20.

Erinn Bernstein, of Baldwinsville, graduated with a Masters of Arts and a Masters of Education in counseling psychology from Teachers College at Columbia University on May 16. Bernstein is a 2006graduate of Baker High School.

Casey Bossert, of Baldwinsville, graduated summa cum laude from York College of Pennsylvania on May 19 earning a bachelor’s degree in professional writing. He was also named to the spring semester dean's list at the school.

Paul Davis, of Baldwinsville, received a bachelor’s degree in chemical and bio engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Rachel Hayes, of Baldwinsville, received a bachelor's degree in commun science and disorders from Nazareth College on May 12.

Jennifer Hingre, of Baldwinsville, was awarded a degree with cum laude honors in biology from St. Lawrence University. Hingre is a Baker High School graduate.

Seth Jackson, of Baldwinsville, was awarded a degree in anthropology with a minor in English from St. Lawrence University. Jackson is a Baker High School graduate.

Andrew McBurney, of Baldwinsville, received a master’s degree in civil engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Madeline Parente, of Baldwinsville, received a bachelor's degree in Spanish from Nazareth College on May 12.

Deans’, presidents’ lists announced

Jeffrey Abbott, of Baldwinsville, was named to the spring semester dean’s list at SUNY Oswego. Abbott is a junior majoring in technology education.
